Summit Scribes is the calligraphy guild of Colorado Springs. We are committed to the pursuit of beautiful letters. We strive to enlighten, educate and encourage.OUR MEETINGS Our monthly meetings are a time of sharing and creating. We meet at Mesa Hills Bible Church on the 2nd Tuesday of each month except in July and December. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. (but we usually arrive around 6:30) and last until 8:30 p.m. Visitors are welcome. WORKSHOPSAt least twice a year we have a weekend workshop where we bring in nationally known instructors who teach on a variety of subjects. Past instructors include Carl Rohrs, Peter Thornton, Reggie Ezzell, Jake Weidmann, Barbara Close & Annie Cicale.JOIN USGuild dues are $25 per year, due in February.

Our next montly meeting is November 8 at 6:30 p.m. We meet at Mesa Hills Bible Church on Uintah. We will make five different holiday tags taught by five of our own members. Bring basics like scissors, glue, pencil, etc.Our December meeting will be our annual Christmas party. Check back for details
Our next weekend workshop is November 5 & 6 where Kristy Doty will teach drawing for calligraphers.
Six times a year we meet for playdates on a Saturday where we explore related calligraphic topics.The other six Saturdays of the year, we hold mini-workshops called Back 2 Basics for beginners. The next Back 2 Basic class is November 19 where we will explore the handstyle Carolingan. If you are interested in this workshop, write us on the Contact tab.
